SmartRecycling-UP

  • Bremen, Germany

The general objective of the SmartRecycling-UP project is to achieve a significant improvement in the recycling rate and quality of large-scale waste (bulky waste, construction waste, etc.) by automating processes that were previously carried out manually. In particular, the technical prerequisites for automating the pre-sorting of large-sized waste are to be created and demonstrated. The new technology is expected to significantly increase the efficiency of the sorting process, the quality of the waste types presented and made available for recycling, and the cost-effectiveness of sorting or recycling.
